Trimming the Tree 2004-12-13
On Saturday night we put up our Christmas tree. Trimming a Christmas tree was never a family tradition when I was younger, but over the past few years with Marlene we've made it one. I now look foward to the two weekends before Christmas when we crack open our Blue Spruce Christmas tree, our tiny box of ornaments and lights, and listen to the Charlie Brown Christmas Special while we decorate the tree. Sadly, we couldn't bring our Blue Spruce tree with us to Taiwan. So, taking its place this year is a true Charlie Brown construction-paper-and-pipe-cleaner affair. We sat on the floor and with the help of James Brown we cut, glued and stapled our way into the Christmas season.
