Ready. Set. Go. 2005-06-20
Not having had an Internet connection for the past few weeks has lead to some quiet moments here at Adventures in Living. All that is about to change, however; we're leaving for Japan tomorrow morning to begin a new adventure in Tokyo - complete with an in-house broadband Internet connection. Most excellent.
We've had a busy few weeks finishing our teaching schedules and preparing to move. As many forms as we had to fill out in triplicate upon our arrival in Taiwan we've had to fill out in advance of our departure. No corner of our lives has gone undocumented or unrecorded since moving here. For someone like myself who has more than a passing interest in where and how personal information concerning my person is stored or used (thanks, Dad), the unrelenting stream of personal information into a mysterious black hole has been challenging. How I long for my cross-cut paper shredder at times like these.
