"That's all fine and good, but what's a videoCast?"
If you've been visiting the video page on our website, you'll know I ocassionally post short videos of things that catch my eye. A videoCast is just another way for you to catch these videos using the iTunes interface. The videos posted to the Adventures in Living web site are encoded using the incredibly cross-platform (Mac, PC, Linux, etc.) Macromedia technologies. This means that ninety-nine percent of visitors to the site can watch the videos if they have the now ubiquitous Flash Player component installed.
However, the videoCasts available through the iTunes Music Store are encoded in the Quicktime .mov format from Mac. This means you must have Quicktime Player installed on your computer in order to watch the video. If you use iTunes, this shouldn't be an issue as the free Quicktime player comes bundled with iTunes.
PC users can download the free Quicktime player here.
If you're not using iTunes, but you're interested in more information or you want to download it from the Apple web site, click here.
So there you have it. Subscribe. Sit back. Rock out to the sights and sounds of Adventures in Living.
